Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan's congratulatory message dedicated to the May triple holiday.

Dear compatriots,

I congratulate all of us on the May triple holiday. Indeed, the liberation of Shushi is one of the glorious pages of our history. The "Wedding in the Mountains" operation is a brilliant example of believing in own power, capturing seemingly insignificant heights, breaking through the blockade.

Like earlier in Sardarapat, in Shushi as well the Armenian people showed that they can create a victory and stand up for their homeland and destiny through their own efforts.

Today, we also celebrate the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The contribution of the Armenian people in the creation of this victory is indisputable. It was a victory against the world evil, it was a victory in which the Armenian military thought and the heroism of the Armenian soldiers shone.

With the liberation of Shushi, one of the pillars of the Armenian statehood and security was established and that was the defense army which made numerous victories in a short period of time and today maintains this part of our homeland inaccessible.
Glory and honor to those who sacrificed their lives for the struggle for Artsakh.

Shushi is a brilliant example of the implementation of the Armenian military thought. That thought was the main factor of the victory. That operation is exemplary today and suggests that it is possible to overcome any blockade if the concept of overcoming is formulated.
