Today, the Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan gave an interview to Petros Ghazaryan on Public Television, talking about the results of the elections and further internal political developments. Special reference was made to the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the involvement of Russian border guards in this issue.
Answering the question related to the election results, Armen Grigoryan drew attention to the fact that the forces in the second and third places applied in this election not in the hope of becoming opposition, hoping to become aurthorities, in this sense, the recent elections were a defeat for the above-mentioned forces and the nation Reaffirmed that there will be no return to the past.
Speaking about the army reforms, Armen Grigoryan said that large-scale work had been done in this issue during the last six months. The Office of the Security Council, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, has almost completed the concept of army reform, while expressing hope that the concept will be approved in the near future and we will move towards army reform. In this context, Secretary Grigoryan attached importance to the transition to a professional army.
