The Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, interviewed the "Sunday Analytical Tamrazyan" program.
Touching upon the meeting of the Special Representatives of the Armenia-Turkey normalization process and the issue of its results, the Secretary of the Security Council noted that the meeting was held in a positive and constructive atmosphere, and there is an opportunity to continue the dialogue. Touching upon the opening of the borders, Armen Grigoryan noted that it is possible to launch the Gyumri-Kars railway. Moreover, if a regional blockade occurs, it will be possible to establish contacts with both the Iranian port of Chabahar and India.
Speaking about his visit to the United States, the Security Council Secretary stressed that they touched upon the bilateral agenda, regional security, and Armenia's approaches to all these. The Secretary added that the United States supports the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations.
Regarding the connection between the current tense border situation and the events taking place in Kazakhstan, A. Grigoryan replied that the interconnectedness of the events could not be ruled out. Still, Armenia regularly assesses the situation around him and takes appropriate steps.
