
The Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan Gave an Interview to CivilNet Online TV Channel

On January 27, the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, was hosted in the pavilion of CivilNet online TV channel.
At the beginning of the interview, the Secretary of the Security Council congratulated the Armenian Army on the 30th anniversary and expressed his condolences to all the armed Armenians who sacrificed their lives for the Homeland defence. Referring to the issue of the reforms of the Armenian Army, A. Grigoryan noted that the primary goal of the government is to form a professional army, which will reduce the length of military service and solve several structural issues.
Responding to the connection between the events in the world, particularly in Ukraine, and the possible destabilization of our region, the Secretary of the Security Council, noted that the government is constantly working to assess the potential economic and military-political impact on our region. In this context, he stressed that Armenia is actively discussing with all its partners to keep the region in the spotlight; the Armenian side has received assurances that there will be no security vacuum.
During the interview, the Secretary also touched upon the Armenian-Turkish relations, the long-term political settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and some domestic issues.
