The Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan spoke about the strengthening of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations, ensuring regional security, Artsakh's self-determination and other security issues on the "Sunday Analytical" show.

Touching upon the congratulations of the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Armen Grigoryan answered, "In general, any such decision in Armenia is made on the basis of comprehensive risk assessment. Security-related and other major decisions have grounds; they are not born out of thin air. In general, a complete risk assessment is made, and a decision is taken in the interests of the Republic of Armenia.”

Speaking about regional developments, Armen Grigoryan stated, "Turkey and Azerbaijan will try to aggravate or destabilize the situation in the region. We are fully prepared for any scenario; we are convinced that we will be able to ensure stability in the region with our own capabilities, as well as with the support of our allies. The capabilities of the Armenian Armed Forces remain a priority. In this respect, any task set before the Armed Forces will be executed perfectly."

Speaking about Artsakh's right to self-determination, the Secretary of the Security Council noted, "The Prime Minister is cutting the thread of the failures of the Nagorno-Kharabakh negotiations. The person who left Artsakh out of the negotiating table cannot speak about the perseverance of Artsakh's self-determination. The model of self-determination presupposes both "incorporation" and "independence".
