"Open platform": Interview with the Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan

The Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan spoke on the "Open Platform" program about the new National Security Strategy, regional developments, cyber security policy, the importance of the military industry, and a number of other security-related issues.

Speaking about the Tavush events and the new National Security Strategy , the Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan said: - "The July events were a test for the strategy to understand whether all the approaches stated in the strategy reflect the reality in which Armenia lives, together with Artsakh. And experience showed that this is indeed the case."

Touching upon the regional developments, the Secretary of the Security Council mentioned: - "Not only do we have a conflict with Azerbaijan, but we also have a problem with Turkey, whose support to Azerbaijan completely changes the nature of the conflict. In this context, the continuous development of our capabilities is very important. Besides, in the global world the security of the Caucasus is related to the security of the Mediterranean Sea, and vice versa. It is clear to us that the instability of the Mediterranean in a chain reaction can be transferred to this region ."

At the same time, Armen Grigoryan added that: - "Armenia is a security player in the region. Azerbaijan's militant aspirations are a threat to the region and the Armenian Armed Forces are the providers of security in the region. We are not only a consumer of security, but also an investor in global security. "
