Advisor to the Secretary of the Security Council Anahit Shirinyan spoke to the "Open Platform" program about Armenia's new National Security Strategy, security priorities stipulated in it, as well as recent regional developments.

Referring to the new National Security Strategy, the Advisor to the Secretary of the Security Council Anahit Shirinyan said. "National security strategy is an important part of the security and foreign policy thinking. In addition, the strategy is an important determinance for state institutions how the state is going to solve security threats and challenges.”

Speaking about regional developments, the Advisor to the Secretary of the Security Council emphasized. "Azerbaijan has been using military toolkit for a long time. The July events were one of its manifestations. Unfortunately, Azerbaijan has proved that it does not have the political will to peacefully resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The July events dispelled the myths of Azerbaijan's military-political supremacy over Armenians. And Azerbaijan has started seeking support from other countries, and in this case it is Turkey. We see it as a dangerous development, an attempt to draw in external actors to the conflict."
