RA SC Secretary Armen Grigoryan participated at the 6th meeting of the Secretaries of the CIS Security Councils in Moscow

On November 21, 2018, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan participated at the 6th meeting of the Secretaries of the CIS Security Councils in Moscow. The agenda of the meeting included issues of combating terrorism, its financing and biological security. According to the agenda, the Secretary presented the inner-political situation in Armenia. Also, the Secretary highlighted the importance of joint efforts to combat international terrorism, its financing, extremism, money laundering and organized crime in their existing and emerging formats and initiatives, presented the works carried out in Armenia towards them.
In his speech, A. Grigoryan pointed out the importance of the reference laboratories in Armenia in the context of early prevention and elimination of hazardous epidemics inside and outside the country. At the same time, the Secretary informed that the above-mentioned laboratories, with second level of security, are fully under the supervision of relevant state bodies of the Republic of Armenia. At the end of his speech, Armen Grigoryan pointed out that Armenia has always shown and continues to demonstrate readiness of cooperation with stakeholders in the field of biological security and operates in a transparent and predictable way within the framework of international law.
