Meetings in the Republic of Arcakh

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Artsakh, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia met with President Bako Sahakyan in Stepanakert. A wide range of issues related to the security of the two Armenian states was discussed during the meeting.
Then, the meetings with the President of the Republic of Artsakh National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan and the Heads of the NA factions took place.
During the meetings the Secretary of the Security Council assured that Armenia is ready to support Artsakh by all possible means in the process of holding faitful to democratic principles, open and transparent elections.
Issues related to the prevention of possible use of administrative resources in the process of preparation and holding of elections, the achievement of transparency, the use of accountability, the increase of the effectiveness of journalistic and monitoring control were discussed.
A.Grigoryan emphasized the importance of raising and strengthening the consciousness of every citizen of the Republic of Artsakh to manage his own destiny through elections.
Both sides reaffirmed the need for cooperation in the context of the best conduct of electoral processes.
At the end of the meeting the sides exchanged views on the latest developments in the peaceful resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
