Visit of the NSC Secretary to the State Border Crossing Point of “Meghri”

On November 30, 2016 the delegation headed by the NSC secretary Mr. Yuri Khachaturov visited the state border crossing point of “Meghri” where Mr. Khachaturov held a meeting with the RA interested bodies and international partners.
During the meeting issues on modernization and reconstruction of the state border crossing point of “Meghri”, including the bridge construction over the river Aras opposite the Iranian checkpoint of "Nordus", as well as issues on fostering trade between Armenia and Iran have been discussed.
At the meeting the mayor of Meghri M. Zaqaryan, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Armenia C.Medina, programme coordinator A.Bakunts, the team leader of “Support for Migration and Border Management in Armenia” (MIBMA) project C.Hofstra, deputy head of the RA government adjunct State Revenue Committee (SRC) A.Saqapetoyan, heads of border services, as well as representatives of the Russian Federal Security Border Service to the Republic of Armenia were taking participation.
