Joint Meeting of the CSTO Foreign Affairs Ministers Council, Defence Ministers Council and the Committee of Security Council Secretaries was Held in Yerevan

Today, the joint meeting of the CSTO Foreign Affairs Ministers Council, Defence Ministers Council and the Committee of Security Council Secretaries was held in Yerevan, where the Secretary of the RA National Security Council Mr. Yuri Khachaturov was participating.
The security council secretaries, heads of foreign political and defence bodies of all the CSTO member-states, as well as the CSTO Secretary General Mr. Nikolay Bordyuzha took their participation.
In the result of discussions of the meeting agenda, which included more than 3 dozens of issues, draft decisions of the CSTO Collective Security Council on the “CSTO Collective Security Strategy 2025”, “On the CSTO Crisis Response Centre” and “On the List of Additional Measures of the CSTO Format Towards Combating International Terrorism and Extremism” and a number of other documents were approved and presented for the Council’s confirmation.
At the meeting the presidency in the CSTO Foreign Affairs Ministers Council, Defence Ministers Council and the Committee of Security Council Secretaries was handed from the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Belarus. It was decided that the next meeting of the CSTO Security Council Secretaries Committee will be held in the first half of 2017 in the Republic of Belarus.
In the scope of the event the RA Secretary of the National Security Council Mr. Yuri Khachaturov also had bilateral meetings with the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Mr. Nikolay Patrushev and the State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Stanislav Zas. During the meeting a wide scope of issues of mutual interest in the security sector has been discussed. In the result of meeting with the Belarusian side the “2017-2018 Cooperation Plan between the Security Councils of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Belarus” was approved.
In the second half of the day Mr. Yuri Khachaturov, in the delegation headed by the RA President, participated also in the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
