The Secretary of the National Security Council received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China

Today, the secretary of the National Security Council Mr. Armen Gevorgyan received the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia H.E. Mr. Tian Erlong.

During the meeting a wide scope of issues on Armenian-Chinese bilateral relations has been discussed.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of mutual visits noting that the visit of the member of the Central Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Central Politics and Legal Affairs Commission Mr. Meng Jianzhu to the Republic of Armenia in May, 2016, was important for developing the cooperation in the security sector between the 2 countries.
At the meeting A. Gevorgyan presented to the ambassador the ongoing reforms being implemented towards the reorganization of the National Security Council staff.
During the meeting other issues of mutual interest, as well as recent international and regional developments have been discussed.
