National Security Council Secretary received the Ambassador of Kazakhstan

Today National Security Council Secretary Armen Gevorgyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Armenia Timur Urazaev.

NSC Secretary welcomed the Ambassador and then asked about the situation after the terrorist attacks that took place in early June in the city of Aktobe in Kazakhstan. Having heard the information from the Ambassador and expressed condolences to the victims, A. Gevorgyan wished success to the Kazakh authorities in the final stabilizing operations of the situation in Aktobe.
The interlocutors discussed a number of issues of mutual interest in bilateral and multilateral format. In the framework of the cooperation within CSTO the parties discussed conciliation process of the «The CSTO collective security strategy up to 2025» draft emphasizing the importance of the document’s early conciliation and adoption.
There was an active discussion also during the meeting related to the proposal of Kazakh President N. Nazarbaev to establish a unified global network under the auspices of the UN to counter international terrorism and extremism.
