Meeting with the Capacity Development Officer at Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations

On October1, Acting Chief of Staff of the National Security Council Aram Tananyan had a meeting with the Capacity Development Officer at Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Mauricio Rosales and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization Assistant Gayane Nasoyan at the NSC Staff.

Views of the effectiveness of the programs on food security in the Republic of Armenia and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization were exchanged; the need to ensure their continuation was verified, particularly in the area of capacity-building support.
A. Tananyan has stressed the strategic importance of the food security for Armenia, and was mentioned that Armenia highly appreciates the programs implementing by UN Food and Agriculture Organization and interested in the continuation and further expansion of cooperation to implement new projects.
In his turn, Mauricio Rosales stated the positive position of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, pursuing further cooperation with Armenia, and expressed his satisfaction about authority’s readiness for further cooperation.
