
Joint Meeting of the CSTO Foreign and Defence Ministers’ Councils and of the Security Council Secretaries’ Committee in Moscow

On December 22, 2014 delegation of the National Security Council Staff headed by the acting chief of staff of the NSC A.Tananyan, participated in the joint meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Foreign and Defence Ministers’ Council and the Security Council Secretaries’ Committee in Moscow.
In the restricted format meeting of the heads of delegations views on regional and global security challenges in light of the CSTO crisis response system were exchanged, the CSTO Collective Security Council’s September 23, 2013 decision implementation process on "Assistance to the Republic of Tajikistan for Strengthening the Tajik-Afghan border" was discussed.
During the plenary session almost two dozen decisions were signed concerning the creation of the CSTO Collective Aviation Forces, military-economic cooperation, the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force activities, operational and combat training joint events of the Organization’s collective security system forces, management bodies and formations, funding of the CSTO permanent working bodies activities and a number of other issues.
