Secretary of the Security Council of the RA Took Part in the Session of the CSTO Security Council Secretaries’ Committee

On May 24 2018, the regular session of the CSTO Security Council Secretaries’ Committee was held in Astana. During the session, issues on various threats and challenges that have a negative impact on the situation of the collective security regions, as well as ways to counter them have been discussed.
In his speech the Secretary of the RA Security Council Armen Grigoryan briefly presented the recent political developments in Armenia expressing satisfaction for the balanced attitude of the CSTO partners towards these developments. A. Grigoryan has reaffirmed the strong commitment of Armenia to make the ongoing cooperation in the CSTO framework more effective.
The CSTO member-states’ Security Council secretaries were received by the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
In the framework of the session, the RA Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan had a working meeting with the Security Council Secretary of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev. The RF Security Council Secretary congratulated A. Grigoryan on taking the office and wished him productive work. During the meeting, the Security Council secretaries of the two countries discussed a range of issues of mutual interest and expressed their readiness to make joint efforts towards strengthening bilateral as well as allied relations within the CSTO framework.
