Secretary of the Security Council meets with UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia

Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan received Shombi Sharp, UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia, Dmitry Mariyasin, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Armenia, Hovhannes Ghazaryan, the Head of UN Armenia Resident Coordinator's Office and Alla Bakunts.
UN representatives expressed their readiness to support the new government’s initiatives. During the conversation they highlighted the reforms implemented at all border checkpoints of the RA, the efforts of the Government aimed at continuously increasing the effectiveness of the customs units works. They talked about the active anti-corruption activities by the new government, which is, according to Secretary Grigoryan, one of the priorities of national security. The focus was on the terms of cooperation in the context of restoration of strategically important infrastructures, border security issues and transparency of government work.
