A meeting with the Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission of China

Today, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan met with Guo Shengkun, a Politburo member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission.

During the meeting the parties underlined the rich historic experience of the Armenian-Chinese relations and the need to restore the cooperation on the idea of the "Great Silk Road" within the framework of the “One Zone, One Way” program.
Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan touched upon the importance of the Chinese side's interest and increase of the investment opportunities in the North-South road construction program and the Armenian side's stakeholder approach.
Secretary Shengkun emphasized the importance of the adoption and support of One-China principle by Armenia.

The Secretary of the Security Council noted the importance of China's discreet and balanced approach to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The agreements were reached on the organizing bilateral visits.

The parties noted with satisfaction the fact of a year-on-year strengthening of the trade and economic relations and the increasing number of Chinese tourists in Armenia.
They emphasized the importance of the attraction of the representatives of the power structures of Armenia to the training programs initiated by the Chinese side.
