A meeting with the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation

Today, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan had a working meeting with Nikolai Patrushev, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation in Ufa, the Russian Federation within the framework of the 10th annual meeting of high-ranking security officials.

Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan emphasized the importance of the dynamic development of the Armenian-Russian allied partnership at the same time presenting the economic reforms in Armenia, as a result of which Armenia has already had 7.1% GDP growth in the first quarter of this year and the index of economic activity in April was 9.2%. Secretary Grigoryan emphasized the role of the Russian community living in Armenia and the Armenian community living in Russia in the development of the Armenian-Russian relations.

During the meeting Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Patrushev emphasized the importance of the strategic relations of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation in the framework of the CSTO, EAEU.
N. Patrushev once again thanked Armenia for providing humanitarian assistance to the victims of the Syrian crisis.

The parties underlined the absence of an alternative to the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

The parties discussed the implementation of the bilateral cooperation plan, an agreement was reached to hold the next bilateral meeting in Yerevan, in August of this year.
