The Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan met with the The Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kalmukhanbet Kasimov, in the framework of the session of the Committee of the Secretaries of the CSTO Security Council in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary Grigoryan expressed his condolences over the tragic events registered because of explosions in military warehouses in the city of Aris, Kazakhstan.
It was under scored that this is the second meeting of the two partners in a week, which is a good sign of productive cooperation.

The Secretary of the Security Council underscored the importance of enhanced cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan in integration and regional structures, as well as in other platforms of multilateral formats.
Secretary Kasimov highlighted the necessity of the development of bilateral relations, especially in the security sphere, considering the frequencies of high-level meetings. Within the framework of the cooperation, Mr. Kasimov highlighted the possibilities of sharing cross-border water management practices and the potential of the Armenian community in Kazakhstan.

Kalmukhanbet Kasimov noted the necessity of activating cooperation between the SC offices, adding that this could become a good platform for strengthening ties between the two countries.

Armen Grigoryan proposed to consider the possibility of formulating a bilateral cooperation plan between the OSCE Ministerial Councils in 2020-2021, proposing ideas on possible ways of cooperation.

Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan shared his the vision of activating cooperation in the spheres of military industry and the peaceful use of the space.

At the end of the meeting Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan invited his colleague Kalmukhanbet Kasimov to Armenia. The invitation was accepted and the parties agreed to clarify the dates and details of the prospective visit though diplomatic channels.
