The staff of the National Security Council observed the activities of the Shirak Marz Department of the RA Police and the Central Division of Yerevan

Today, a joint working discussion took place headed by Secretary of the National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan with the participation of First Deputy Police Chief Hunan Poghosyan, Chief of Yerevan Police Ashot Karapetyan, Deputy Head of the RA Police Headquarters Misha Sardaryan, the Police Chief of Shirak Marz Karen Babakekhyan and Head of the Yerevan City Police Department Artak Poghosyan.
The discussion was devoted to the results of the monitoring of the effectiveness of the activities of the Shirak Marz Department of the RA Police and the Central Division of Yerevan conducted by the NSC staff.
Artur Baghdasaryan touched upon the issues and goals of the discussion. Issues related to the fight against crime, illegal drug turnover, fight against human trafficking, control over weapons, ammunition turnover, prevention of offenses committed by juveniles and other issues existing in the field were discussed.
The representatives of the staff of the National Security Council and Police made reports on the results of the observations.
Summing up the discussion, Secretary of the National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan highlighted the reforms implemented in the Police field, in particular, the introduction of the technical means and the process of the further development of the use.
