Armenia-EU cooperation proceeds normally

Armenian National Security Council Secretary and Chairman of the Interdepartmental Committee on Coordination of Armenian State Agencies’ Cooperation with European Institutions, Artur Baghdasaryan, chaired the previously mentioned committee’s session on Saturday.

Baghdasaryan informed that the second phase of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement talks was held in capital city Yerevan on Thursday, and that the next two months will be full of new developments with respect to Armenia-EU cooperation.
“Armenia is entering the signing phase of the political association with EU, and the measures envisioned by the 2012-2013 Action Plan must be carried out. The negotiations concerning the agreements on visa relaxation and readmission with the EU are likewise at their final phase,” Artur Baghdasaryan noted.

And speaking about the events outlined in the European Commission’s “Eastern Partnership: Road Map 2012-2013,” Armenia’s National Security Council Secretary said in particular: “The Road Map focuses on jointly agreed main objectives.”
