NSS Secretary Artur Baghdasaryan receives EIB experts

Secretary of the National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan received the experts of the European Investment Bank headed by the head of the delegation Georgia Kutsiana. During the meeting were discussed the issues related to the implementation of the modernization program of the three northern checkpoints of the Republic of Armenia Bagratashen, Gogavan and Bavra. The European Investment Bank will co-finance this comprehensive program.
During the meeting Arthur Baghdasaryan noted that two important stages of the process were implemented this year- development of the technical task and the design of the necessary construction works. It is planned to launch an international tender for construction works in early 2012, as a result of which the selected organization will have to complete the construction and technical equipment of three checkpoints in accordance with the modern requirements of the EU Yellow Book. During the meeting issues related to the implementation of the project were discussed and clarified and an agreement was reached to carry out documentary formulations at this stage of the process in the shortest possible time in accordance with a pre-determined program implementation schedule.
