
NSC Secretary Met With His French Counterpart

The Secretary of the National Security Council Artur Baghdasaryan, currently on a working visit in France, met with his French counterpart, the Secretary General of the National Security and Defense Council of France, Francis Delon. The two sides emphasized that the Armenian-French friendship is the basis for giving greater impetus to the cooperation in different fields and in this context stressed the importance of bilateral meetings. An agreement was reached on deepening the security and defense cooperation in a number of directions.
Within the framework of visit Arthur Baghdasaryan met with the Minister of Transport and Nature Protection of France Thierry Mariani and with Patrick Devedjian, Hauts-de-Seine Department Council Chairman. During the meeting a wide range of issues related to the deepening of the Armenian-French cooperation were discussed. Armenia’s NSC Secretary also met with Anne-Marie Descotes, director of the Agency for French Schools Abroad. Issues relating to further promotion of cooperation in the education sphere, including the establishment of French lyceum in Armenia were discussed. The parties noted that the establishment of European educational institutions in Armenia is important for the further development of a competitive education system in line with international standards․
