Armenian and French Security Councils to cooperate

In the framework of his working visit to France, NSC Secretary Artur Baghdasaryan met with Francis Delon, National Security and Defence Secretary General.

Artur Baghdasaryan and Francis Delon introduced the functions of Armenian and French National Security Councils respectively. The parties agreed to step up cooperation between French and Armenian National Security Councils and discussed issues related to the South Caucasus region, Armenian-Turkish relations and NK conflict regulation. Upon request of the host Artur Baghdasaryan presented Armenia’s position in these matters. Notably, he mentioned that Armenia stands for long-lasting peace and stability in the region and rapprochement with neighboring countries. Artur Baghdasaryan invited Francis Delon to Armenia, and the latter agreed with pleasure.
Artur Baghdasaryan also met with Jean-David Levitte, Diplomatic Advisor to the French President. The parties discussed issues related to the South Caucasus region and Armenia-France bilateral cooperation, highlighted the importance of further deepening of Armenia-French cooperation in different directions and looked at Armenia’s Euro-integration matters.
