Electronic management system to be introduced in Armenia
04 / 02 / 2010
The interagency working group responsible for the development of electronic management system concept held a sitting today chaired by the NSC Secretary Artur Baghdasaryan.
As of January 2012, an electronic management integrated system will be introduced in Armenia in line with the Armenia-EU three-year political cooperation plan. The working group is to elaborate the concept of electronic management system till September.
Artur Baghdasaryan said the electronic management system should include not only public administration and local self-governing bodies, but also should provide an opportunity for businesses to have direct e-mail links with state and local self-governing bodies. This assumes tremendous efforts which will eventually lead to reduction of corruption risks and bureaucracy, and elimination of unnecessary paperwork and will enable economic units, state and community servants to work more effectively using electronic communication system.
The elaboration and implementation of the concept will run parallel with regulations in the legal field, in particular the drafts of laws about “Databases” and “Personal data protection” will be developed and submitted to the Government for approval.
