NSC Secretary received Manouchehr Motakki

NSC Secretary received today Iran Foreign Minister Manouchehr Motakki.

The parties discussed bilateral cooperation issues and agreed that Armenia-Iran centuries-old friendship should be further enhanced by deepening relations between Iran and Armenia in different directions. In addition, they attached importance to deepening of cooperation to further strengthen regional security. Artur Baghdasaryan underlined the importance of finalizing Armenia-Iran railway and highway construction and the realization of bilateral agreements in the energy field.
The two sides also made reference to recent development trends in Armenia-Turkey relations and NK conflict regulation. Upon request of the guest, Artur Baghdasaryan presented Armenia’s position in this respect reaffirming the fact that Armenia stands for peace and stability in the region and rapprochement with neighbours. The two sides also discussed regional development issues.
