NSC Secretary Artur Baghdasaryan received Onno Hannting

NSC Secretary Artur Baghdasaryan received today Onno Hannting, Netherlands’ Foreign Ministry Special Representative on Eastern Partnership and Peter Jan Langenberg, Ambassador of Netherlands to Armenia.

The interlocutors discussed the prospects of cooperation in the framework of Eastern Partnership. Artur Baghdasaryan stated that Armenia seeks to deepen cooperation with EU, and the association agreement is a good base for further development of Armenia-EU relations.
Reference was made to the Armenia-EU Action Plan. Upon request of the guests Artur Baghdasaryan introduced the process of reforms implemented in different directions in Armenia. Onno Hannting welcomed Armenia’s efforts to implement comprehensive reforms.
The interlocutors also spoke about Armenian-Turkish reconciliation and attached importance to border opening and establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries as necessary factors for regional peace and stability.
