
Military-political cooperation within CSTO to develop

The inter-agency commission coordinating the actions under CSTO held its recurrent sitting today, chaired by NSC Secretary Artur Baghdasaryan.
The NSC Secretary introduced the results of the September thirtieth sitting of CSTO Security Councils’ Secretaries in Brest. The participants looked at relevant actions to materialize the adopted decisions.
The representatives of the Ministries of Defense, Emergency Situations, Foreign Affairs, the Police and National Security Service introduced the process of implementation of the action plan adopted in the 2008 September sitting of CSTO Security Council as well as the process of ratification of the agreements signed in the framework of CSTO. The commission discussed the intensification of military-economic cooperation within CSTO and agreed to formulate a proposal package for the development of military-industrial complex and to take measures to implement the decisions of the CSTO Council.
The commission recorded with satisfaction that the CSTO hailed Armenia’s presidency as a number of serious decisions have been adopted at this period which contributed to the development of the organization.
