National anti-drug program to be developed

The working group on the development national anti-drug program held its first sitting today chaired by NSC Secretary Artur Baghdasaryan, Chairman of the inter-agency commission coordinating Armenia’s cooperation with European structures.

The representatives of all interested agencies are involved in the group. Artur Baghdasaryan attached importance to the development and timely implementation of anti-drug national program under the “Armenia-EU” 2009-2011 Action Plan.
According to the decision adopted at the session, the working group will elaborate the general provisions of the national program in collaboration with the representatives of the South Caucasus Anti-Drug Programme, will discuss the draft with the interested agencies and European experts and will submit for approval in accordance with the established procedure.
