NSC Secretary Artur Baghdasaryan received today Mark Perren de Brishambo, OSCE Secretary General.

A wide range of issues related to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution, Armenian-Turkish relations, regional cooperation and security was discussed. Underlining the dangerous results of the NK conflict resolution by military means, Artur Baghdasaryan stressed the importance of continuous negotiations and the Moscow Declaration signed in the framework of OSCE Minsk Group. In addition, Artur Baghdasaryan attached importance to the need of gradual improvement of Armenian-Turkish relations.
The parties discussed the Russian initiative for European Security and the importance of peace and stability enhancement in the Caucasus region in this context.
Artur Baghdasaryan informed that an international conference on regional security issues will be held in April in Yerevan. He also said a number of ambitious reforms will be implemented in the framework of Armenia-EU Action Plan 2009-2011 under the European Neighbourhood Policy, and called for proposals.
Mark Perren de Brishambo welcomed the program and the initiatives and expressed willingness to an open cooperation.
