A Telephone Conversation Between the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Republic of Armenia and Kazakhstan

On January 8, 2019, the Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan held a telephone conversation with the Assistant of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Secretary of the Security Council Gabit Bayzhanov.
During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on the situation in Karaganda.
The Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan conveyed his deepest condolences to the relatives and friends of the murdered Jansiete Baktzhanul. Both sides emphasized the impermissibility of turning the tragedy on a domestic dispute into an interracial problem.
The Secretaries of the two countries highlighted the necessity of multilateral and transparent investigation and the need to bring all the perpetrators of crime to justice exclusively within law and justice.
At the same time, importance of ensuring continuity of direct communication between the relevant departments of the two countries was stressed.
