"Youth for Freedom and Democracy"

Today secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan participated in the youth regional conference on "Youth for Freedom and Democracy". The range of topics was broad: the peculiarities of the role of youth in internal political events, as well as in monitoring and oversight of central and local authorities.
In his speech, Armen Grigoryan underlined that the philosophy of revolution was in fact the idea of freedom, the establishment of constitutionalism and solving the problems in that way. Armen Grigoryan has been repeatedly stating that he gives special importance to the formation of civil society, which is one of the cornerstones of democracy. Armen Grigoryan expressed conviction that people give a mandate to the government, therefore, currently cooperation and dialogue with civil society is more important than ever.
Armen Grigoryan also highlighted the role of civil society in the upcoming elections, particularly in media, in control processes and in ensuring free and fair elections. Summerizing, Armen Grigoryan mentioned that the society's total value system transformation emerged in the ability to have a dream and follow it resulting in both security and development.
