Congratulatory message of the Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan on the 29th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia

Dear compatriots,

Congratulations on the anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia.

About three decades ago, we reaffirmed our will to have a sovereign and independent state, becoming the guarantors of our own security and the providers of prosperity. Besides, sovereign and independent Armenia became the embodiment of the unity of Artsakh, and Armenians from all over the world.

Independence is not a given value, it is achieved by conquering. By the way, not only have we gained our independence, but we have had to build our freedom in difficult conditions. The earthquake, the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Artsakh war were serious trials, but the Armenian people, thanks to their collective wisdom, were able to overcome that difficult path with honor and even record great victories.

And today the independent, sovereign, resilient, tenable and democratic Armenia is the guarantor of the future generations' might and the eternity of statehood.
