The Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan Meets With the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolay Patrush

Today, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan met with the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolay Patrush within the framework of the meeting of the Committee of Secretaries of the CSTO Security Councils in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

The parties highlighted the outstanding relations and intensive communication between the leaders of Armenia and Russia. Both sides emphasized the importance of improved cooperation between Armenian and Russian defense ministries and special services.
In the context of providing security, Armen Grigoryan discussed the large-scale reforms in the Armenian Armed Forces. Also, given the strategic and allied nature of the relations between the two countries, Grigorian stressed the importance of mutually beneficial cooperation between the armed forces of both countries.

Nikolay Patrush underscored the role of the Russian peacekeeping forces in Nagorno Karabakh in restoring routine life. He also stressed the need to develop regional infrastructure.

During the meeting, the 2021-2022 cooperation plan between the offices of the Security Councils of Armenia and Russia was approved.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to visit in the near future.
