
The Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan Met With the Assistant to the President of Kazakhstan-Secretary of the Security Council Asset Issekeshev

Today, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan met with the Assistant to the President of Kazakhstan and Secretary of the Security Council Asset Issekeshev within the framework of the session of the Committee of Secretaries of the CSTO Security Council in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
During the meeting the parties expressed confidence that there are good prospects for the development of the Armenian-Kazakh relations, especially given the decades-long friendly ties between the two peoples.
Secretary Grigoryan stressed that Armenia’s and Kazakhstan’s membership in both CSTO and the Eurasian Economic Union provide important opportunities for bilateral cooperation. Asset Issekeshev emphasized that there are Armenian educational and cultural centers in more than 11 cities in Kazakhstan and the Armenian community in Kazakhstan plays an active role in country’s life.
During the meeting, Secretary Grigoryan stated that Armenia pays special attention to the development of taerospace and military industries. He emphasized that Armenia highly appreciates Kazakhstan’s experience in these spheres and stressed that cooperation in the above-mentioned fields is of great interest for Armenia.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to visit in the near future.
