A phone conversation was held between the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan and The Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev

Today, the Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan and his Russian counterpart, Nikolai Patrushev, held a phone conversation. The parties discussed the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, as well as the latest developments.

Armen Grigoryan praised the active efforts of the Russian side for rapid and complete settlement of this issue.

The parties emphasized the importance of the session of the CSTO Foreign Ministers to be held in Dushanbe on May 19 for a comprehensive assessment of the current issue.

Regarding the CSTO response to the situation, Secretary Grigoryan noted the importance of holding a possible session of the SCTO member states’ Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils.
