July 6 2018 Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council held a meeting with his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patrushev. They discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation as well as a wide range of security issues.
Both sides reaffirmed commitment and strengthening the continuity of relations between the two countries in security and defense sectors, as well as cooperation in the development of military industry in Armenia. Armen Grigoryan expressed his concerns over the recent bellicose rhetoric of Azerbaijan and the accumulation of military equipment at the borderline.
Nikolai Patrushev highlighted the necessity of resuming negotiations on peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. They also discussed a number of current programs and expressed confidence that they are willing to work consistently.
The meeting was held in mutual trust and constructive atmosphere.
