The Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan Met With the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden Patrick Swenson

On February 21, the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden Patrick Svensson.

At the request of the Ambassador, the Secretary of the Security Council presented Armenia's position on the long-term political settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the Armenian-Turkish relations. In this context, both sides stressed the importance of a long-term political settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs framework. The Secretary of the Security Council also presented the efforts made by the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the direction of structural and substantive reforms of the Armed Forces.

During the meeting, the parties also touched upon a wide range of issues related to democracy, strengthening human rights, having a better environment, and mitigating climate change.
