The Secretary of the Security Council Met with Igor Khovaev

On May 10, the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, met with Igor Khovaev, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair of the Russian Federation, and the Special Representative of the Foreign Minister of Russia on issues supporting the normalisation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

A.Grigoryan and I. Khovaev discussed recent developments in normalising relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Secretary of the Security Council presented to the interlocutor the positions of the Armenian side on several issues of the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.

Referring to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, the parties emphasised that the rights and security of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh should be respected and protected. The Russian side stressed that the Lachin Corridor should be opened and operate within the November 9 tripartite declaration framework.
