The Secretary of the Security Council Met With Igor Khovaev.

On July 21, the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, met with the Special Representative of the Foreign Minister of Russia on the issues of supporting the normalisation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Igor Khovaev.

The parties discussed the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh and emphasised that the rights and security of the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh are paramount and must be protected.

Referring to Azerbaijan's ongoing blockade of the Lachine Corridor in violation of the November 9, 2020, tripartite statement, the Secretary of the Security Council stressed the need to fulfil the obligations undertaken by Azerbaijan.
