The Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Met With the Representatives of the Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation

The Secretary of the Security Council met with the Representatives of the Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation in Helsinki.

At the meeting, the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiation process was discussed. The SC secretary presented the security situation of the South Caucasus, the existing challenges, and the Armenian side's efforts and constructive approaches to overcome them. The secretary also emphasised that establishing lasting peace in the region will benefit all regional countries.

Referring to the unblocking of the regional channels, the secretary stressed that it should be carried out respecting the sovereignty and jurisdiction of the countries through which they pass, based on the principle of equality and reciprocity.
