The Secretary of the Security Council, participated in the opening ceremony of the symposium dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Victor Hambarzumyan at the National Academy of Sciences

On September 17, 2018, Armen Grigoryan, the Secretary of the Security Council, participated in the opening ceremony of the symposium dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Victor Hambarzumyan at the National Academy of Sciences. The symposium had the heading “Unstable Phenomena and the Origin of the Universe”.
In his speech the Secretary emphasized the importance of continuous development of science in Armenia. He, in particular, dwelt upon the work that is being and will be carried on in the sphere of space exploration.
The Secretary mentioned: “The development of space exploration will make it possible to insure the security of the country at most, promoting simultaneously the development of national abilities to face the contemporary challenges. In the nearest future the corresponding legislative field is to be formed followed by discussions of the Armenian space programme including possibilities of launching our own artificial satellite.”
