On January 9, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, received the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Akbar Ahmadian.

The Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia welcomed the visit of the Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia and emphasised the importance of high-level mutual visits, which are based on the need to develop Armenia-Iran bilateral multi-sectoral relations. A.A. Ahmadian, in turn, noted that bilateral relations have solid foundations and nothing can change or undermine them.

During the meeting, the parties touched upon regional processes and the prospects for Armenia-Iran cooperation.

Noting with satisfaction the developing bilateral relations between Armenia and Iran, the interlocutors discussed the implementation of the agreements already reached and outlined new ways of cooperation. They touched upon the development of economic relations and exchanged views on infrastructure development programs.
