On October 1, 2018 the secretary of the RA Security Council received the ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Armenia Mr. Tian Erlong.
The secretary and Ambassador Erlong discussed a range of issues related to interdepartmental, interstate, economic as well as humanitarian cooperation at the same time pointing out the necessity of expanding Armenian-Chinese cooperation in the sphere of security.
The importance of peaceful resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the Minsk Group was emphasized. The secretary highly appreciated China's contribution to the stability of the global security as well as to the restrained and responsible policy in the weapons sales.
The high-level bilateral visits and their results were also discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the necessity of further development and deepening of friendly relations between the two countries was noted.
