The Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan Had a Telephone Conversation with the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Sergei Shoigu

On August 21, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, had a telephone conversation with the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Sergei Shoigu.

A.Grigoryan informed his counterpart about the agreements reached on August 8 in Washington within the process of normalising relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and expressed confidence that peace has already been established in the region, which corresponds to the interests of all the countries of the region.

Grigoryan also spoke about the unblocking of regional communication routes and the economic opportunities that would arise as a result, stressing their importance from the perspective of the interests of all countries.

S. Shoigu, in turn, presented the outcomes of the meeting held in Alaska between the President of Russia, V. Putin and the President of the United States, D. Trump, as well as its further course.

During the phone conversation, the interlocutors also discussed issues related to the Armenia–Russia agenda.
