The Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan Met with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Slovakia

On September 8, during his working visit to the Slovak Republic, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan met with State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Slovakia Igor Melicher.

Igor Melicher congratulated the Secretary of the Security Council on the initialling of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, noting that peace will have a positive impact both on the region and on countries beyond it. At the request of I. Melicher, Armen Grigoryan, presented the details of the agreements reached in Washington, the economic opportunities to be created, and Armenia’s efforts toward achieving lasting peace in the region.

During the meeting, the parties discussed Armenia-Slovakia bilateral relations, emphasising their readiness to effectively utilise the considerable potential for developing cooperation between the two countries. Igor Melicher expressed Slovakia’s support for the agenda of deepening Armenia–EU partnership.
