Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan Held a Farewell Dinner with Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Sobhan

On September 17, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Mehdi Sobhan held a farewell dinner on the occasion of the completion of the Ambassador’s diplomatic mission.

The Secretary of the Security Council thanked the Ambassador for his work and emphasised that during his tenure, Armenia–Iran multi-sectoral relations were elevated to a new level. The Secretary also congratulated the Ambassador on being awarded the Order of Friendship and wished him success in his future activities.

The Ambassador, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Secretary of the Security Council for constructive cooperation and stressed that he had made every effort within his capacity to contribute to the development of Armenia–Iran bilateral relations. He also noted that he is leaving Armenia with only warm memories.

The parties also discussed issues of bilateral interest.
