President Serzh Sargsyan convened a meeting of the National Security Council

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan convened a meeting of the National Security Council.
At the meeting discussed were issues related to the pre-conscription, military listing of draft age persons and reserve troops, improvement of pre-drafting and actual conscription processes, as well as the issues related to the coordination of the activities of the state and local administration authorities in that area.
Issues pertaining to the necessary steps stemming from the decision adopted by the Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization regarding the establishment of the rapid response force were also discussed at the meeting of the National Security Council.
The Secretary of the National Security Council, Arthur Baghdasaryan and the Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan presented reports on the agenda items. The President of the National Security Council, President Sargsyan stressed the importance of the issues under consideration for our armed forces and tasked the heads of relevant agencies and structures with concrete assignments.
